Finding what you want
There are two ways to find products:
- selecting the category in which the product falls from the drop down list at the top of the page...
- entering text in the search box and clicking on the [Go] button beside it
Adding products to your basket
If you see products you wish to purchase,
enter the quantities you wish to purchase in the box on the right hand side of the
page, and click on the [Update Basket] button.
This then takes you to your shopping basket, displaying the list of all products
you have in it. To change the quantities of products in the basket - just change the
quantities in the box on the right hand side, and again click the [Update Basket]
button.
Paying for your goods
The payment of goods is a five stage process:
- Once you are satisfied you have put everything you wish to buy in your
basket, click on the [Proceed to checkout] button.
- This will display your cart, and ask for your method of payment.
Unless you are an account holder (see below), you will be paying by credit
card. Fill in all your details in the boxes provided. Remembering to enter your
woodbadge number if purchasing anything from the Training Insignia part of the
site. Please make sure that you correctly select the country you are purchasing from. Finally
click on the [Pay by credit card] button.
- You will then see all your details - including your basket (yet again) - but
this time if you have come from outside the United Kingdom it displays the
totals of your basket including delivery (and possibly excluding VAT).
If you are happy with this click on [Proceed to Credit Card details form].
- On this page you will be asked to enter your Credit Card details, once these
have been entered the form will be submitted to you bank for approval, if
successful your account will be debited with the amount shown, and you should
receive an email confirming your purchase.
- On successful payment follow the link on the webpage, this will give you
an online confirmation of your order, which you can print out for your records.

Security
- All Credit Card transactions are processed over a secure server system.
- Customer details are also stored on a secure server.
Payment Methods
- Payment can be made via: Visa Card, MasterCard, Switch or Solo.
- All items are supplied on a cash with order basis unless you have an account.
- Due to items being constantly reviewed, amended or replaced, some items may be unavailable at the time of ordering.
- Prices may alter without prior notification
Accounts
These are normally only granted to UK Counties, Areas and Districts.
- Only authorised nominated account users may use the account facilities (Account numbers must be given in full). Goods can only be supplied to the address specified at the time the account was originated.
- Any changes to personnel or delivery addresses must be supplied in writing by the main account holder.
- No changes to account details can be made unless this procedure is followed.
Methods Of Despatch
- Second class postage will be used. Deliveries made outside of the UK will be made using Royal Mail and Royal Mail Parcelforce.
- Any discrepancies in the contents of packages must be notified to The Information Centre within five working days of receipt.
- Three working days should be allowed for the processing of all orders. All orders are processed in rotation.
